IDW Announces Infestation #1 Second Printing
Publisher IDW has announced that the first issue of their event Infestation has sold out. IDW will release a second printing on February 16th, so look out for that.
Infestation #1 was written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning and drawn by David Messina and crosses over with IDW’s licensed Ghostbusters, G.I. JOE, Star Trek and Transformers in an event that begins in the world of the (non-licensed?) Zombies vs. Robots comics as it carries on into more biweekly Infestation specials featuring all of the aforementioned licensed properties before finally concluding in Infestation #2.
The whole licensed property crossover event is a great idea on IDW’s part and probably required a lot of wrangling and planning and coordination to get the people who own the properties to allow them to do this. While zombies are a bit played out these days, I can’t really say no to a comic written by Abnett and Lanning, who revolutionized Marvel Comics’ space characters with Annihilation and The Thanos Imperative.
